I had to post this video of Keiran and Simon. Poor cat! I'm trying to get Keiran to learn to be gentle but it is taking a long time. His idea of gentle is grab and pull hard. When I'm not behind the camera I do show him how to be gentle and I sure hope he catches on soon or Simon might disown me!

The other two cats just run away when he comes near but for whatever reason, Simon usually puts up with it. I think that eventually they will be great friends, Keiran just has to learn to be nice first!

A couple of videos from the past week. Death wish baby zooming towards the street and proof that he can feed himself! Enjoy.

What we've been up to this week

We've had a busy week with picture taking! Keiran has been a busy boy. Daddy set up his new car, I set up his play area (after daddy brought in his slide and swing), we went outside and let him zoom around, and he did lots of playing and dancing with Hailey. So in a somewhat random order, here are pictures from the week.
The first one is from today after I got home from work. I pulled out the guitar and was doing a crappy job of trying to play it and Keiran was having a great time crawling all over the case.

Then Hailey took a picture of him looking through my Mary Kay catalogue:

This was him playing outside after we went for a walk. It is starting to get a little chilly in the evenings:

He zoomed himself around to the side of the house

He thought the window was pretty darn cool (plus daddy was making faces at him)

This was right before we decided it was time to go inside. He was getting a little fussy when we wouldn't let him scoot out to the road.

I took these pictures last night in the neighbours yard. At first he wasn't sure what to think of the feel of the leaves and grass on his legs.

Didn't take long for him to love it though!

Next came the inevitable leaf eating.

Oops, double picture. It won't let me cut it out. Doh.

Zooming down the sidewalk towards the road. He was very determined.

I think this was tuesday. We were doing self portraits and he was really having fun with it.

Playing downstairs with his toys. I can't believe the mess one little child can make! He is capt. destructor!

Button mashing noob strikes again.

He was fussy so I put him on the couch with some goldfish crackers and turned on the tv. It kept him occupied for a few minutes anyways. He really enjoys feeding himself now (finally!).

Playing with the little car he got for his birthday. He's still a little small for it, but enjoys pushing it around.
Our little musician. He finally found the drumsticks. Notice the red on his leg. That is from a day full of zooming! He gets road rash.

Some fun pics from today. He was mostly a grumpy bear this afternoon. We went to the mall to get Hailey a new phone and a few other things and he was impossible! Clingy, crying, whining. It was lovely. Blech. He is punishing us for being gone for 4 days. When we got home he was much better. We had some good times after he had a bottle.
Smiling and playing on the floor in his room:

He just finished grabbing Charlie in this picture:

This is his "stop taking pictures of me Mommy" look:

Hercules

Brian and I had to go to Cold Lake for 4 days this week. The fighter squadron out there was receiving battle honours for when they were in Kosovo. It took 9 years but they finally got their honours. They flew us out there for the ceremony. We got to fly in a Hercules on the way out there. I had not flown in one since I was a kid! It was pretty fun. Noisy, very very noisy, but fun. So, here are a few pics of the flight. I unfortunately did not take any pics of the base or anything while there, which was kind of stupid of me because I spent the whole 4 days feeling like I was in the movie Top Gun! Those fighter jets are cool!!! When we did the ceremony, they had two fly pasts and they were soooo cool. Loud too. Made it a lot more interesting.
Now on to some pics. Brian and I sitting in our "seats":

The plane is one big open space. So,the cargo is right by where we were sitting. Those cardboard boxes there were our lunch:

Stephen, Jeremy and Brad standing around right before we started playing Kaiser:

Just some random fluff from the past few days.
Keiran and Hailey playing in front of the mirror in her room:

Keiran passed out in the Ergo Carrier at the MFRC fall fair on saturday:

Tonight (sunday) at supper, he is now trying to crawl out of his high chair:

Daddy and Keirans favourite new game - lock daddy out of bathroom.

Thursday was Keirans first hair cut. He was not very impressed with us!!! It went well though and now he looks like a cute little boy instead of a cute baby. Sigh. He's growing up too fast!
The first pic is us trying to get a last shot of his long hair:

With the cape on, look how unimpressed he looks!

Him trying to scramble away from Maria. She had to move all over the place to try and get his hair!

He spent most of the time crying and trying to get away:

After the haircut - notice he's still not impressed!

The past few days we've gone to the zoo lots! On Sunday I went with Brian and on monday I went with Hailey. Of course, Keiran came both times! I thought I would just add some pics from the two days!

The first pic is Daddy and Keiran on sunday. He got tired of his stroller and we forgot the ergo baby carrier.

Mr. Raccoon. He was just hanging out staring at me. He's so cute.

We went out for lunch after the zoo and Keiran was being so cute! This was the first day he started feeding himself! We are thrilled!!!! Finally!!! Look at that hair though! It's getting so long. I've been holding off on getting him a hair cut but now it is time. The appointment is booked for thursday.

When Hailey and I went on Monday, the geese were hanging out by the duck feeding place. So instead of feeding the ducks, I fed the geese. They hissed at me but had no problem eating my corn! This was Keiran while I was feeding the geese! He was just waking up from a nap. So cute when he's half asleep! One of my favourite parts of the zoo! I love feeding the gophers. I had 4 of them surrounding me at one point yesterday.
Our little gopher buddy!Brians favourite bird at the zoo. The Stellar Eagle. Doesn't look too big here, but these birds are HUGE!
